Thanks for tagging me Melissa! I am extremely bored at work right now and needed something to pass the time!
1. Where was I 10 years ago: I was 16 years old living in good old Hummelstown PA having tons of fun driving and definitely not dating (the guys just didn't start asking me out as soon as I turned 16 like I thought they would).
2. 5 things on my to do list today: Go for a walk with my husband, make a "real dinner" (not oatmeal like last night or frozen pizza like the night before), try to figure out what is wrong with my car (the service engine soon light just came on... go figure, I have the worst luck with cars), maybe watch a movie, and stay up late tonight (past my normal 9 pm bedtime) since it's Friday!!
3. 5 Snacks I enjoy: ICE CREAM (my favorite), any kind of candy (especially chocolate), wheat thins (I have eaten lots of those during this pregnancy), no-bake cookies, french fries... pretty much anything unhealthy as you can see!
4. 5 Places I have lived: Pennsylvania, Provo UT, Orem UT, American Fork UT... and that's it
5. 5 Places I have been: Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, Florida, New York
6. What would I do if I were suddenly made a billionaire: Pay off my house, pay off everyone in my family's houses, buy a new car, buy Jesse the airplane he wants, travel the world, and save the rest for retirement of course :)
7. 5 Jobs I have had: Hersheypark, Waitress at Friendlys, UVSC Graduation Office, Academic Advisor at UVSC, and a Guidance Counseling Intern at Lakeridge Jr High and Mountain View High School.
8. 5 Things you didn't know about me: I never learned how to ride a bike (although my husband is really wanting to teach me), I have a fake tooth in the front of my mouth (got knocked out with a ski-pole), I am terrified of heights, I sang with Rosemary Clooney in one of her concerts in Hershey when I was in 2nd grade (she's in White Christmas for those of you who have never heard of her), and I have always wanted to play the harp.
That's all folks! Hopefully you learned something new about me and weren't too bored reading all of my answers!

SPRING FEVER!!
The weather has been so nice here this past week that I can't help being overly anxious for spring to officially get here!! Most of the snow has melted and we can actually see our grass (it has been a while). We even finished taking down all of our Christmas lights on Wednesday after work. Better late than never I guess!! I have loved the fact that it has been too warm to wear my coat when I leave work, and I am looking forward to lots of outdoor walks. Now it just needs to stay light a little longer so it's not pitch black outside by the time we are done eating dinner. Oh I am just so excited! So many fun things to look forward to... including the new BBQ Jesse and I are getting ready to purchase (as soon as he picks out the one he wants). We have been saving our pennies for a while so this is huge! And it also means he will be doing a lot of grilling and it will just be one more excuse to spend time outside!

30 Weeks!!
I have finally hit the 30's... horray! Here is my 30 week pregnancy shot from Saturday. It's crazy to see how much my belly has grown in just the past couple weeks. With a little less than 10 weeks to go, I am feeling really good but am getting more and more anxious for this baby to get here! 10 weeks seems like such a long time, but I am hoping it goes fast. But we still have lots to do to get ready for the arrival of our little girl that's for sure. One of the biggest things would be to find a name that we both like!! We have been trying to pick a few that we really like to choose from right after she is born but aren't having much luck. I have looked through those silly name books so many times that every name sounds the same to me now!! Hopefully we will think of some good options soon. I swear it is so much easier to think of names you like when you aren't expecting!!

What a week of driving fun...NOT!!
So the past couple days have been interesting in the car/driving department for Jesse and I. On Monday, I got pulled over and got a ticket for a very dumb reason!!! I was so mad (and sad because I am an emotional mess these days). I wasn't speeding or anything, but got it for failure to yield at a stop sign. The cop said I pulled out to close infront of another car but I disagree. Now I have to decide if I should try to fight it or just suck it up and go to traffic school. I was so worried that Jesse would be mad at me, but of course he was very sweet about the whole thing. His first question after I told him that I got a ticket was if I tried taking off my wedding ring and flirting with the cop. I had to remind him that I am 7 months pregnant and that probably wouldn't do any good!!
Then yesterday Jesse left our only set of working keys to the Maxima at work in West Valley!! He carpools to work with his cousin Richard, and our good friend Karl, and I guess when they got back to the park-n-ride in AF he realized that his keys were in his toolbox- oops. I thought it was kind of funny because he tends to "misplace" the keys every now and again. Luckilly Karl was nice enough to give Jesse a ride home and we actually got one of the spare keys working (none of them have ever worked in the past) so we didn't have to leave the car there over night. At least I am not the only one who did something kind of dumb this week!! I guess things can only get better. I have been a very cautious driver and Jesse will keep his keys with him at all times!

Happy Valentine's Day!!
How great it is to have one special day set aside dedicated to spening time with those you love. As I got up this morning to make my husband breakfast and pack his lunch for work (this DOES NOT happen on a regular basis), I was reminded of our first Valentine's Day together when we were dating. I had to work all day, and then had class till 10:30 pm, and Jesse worked until 11 pm. So... we didn't get to see each other at all. But we spent our spare time that day doing little simple things to express our love for each other. I decorated his car in the morning, and he decorated my bedroom while I was busy working that day. This helps me to realize that it's those simple acts of kindness that really count. It's not the flowers, chocolates, or even presents that prove that we love someone, but how we treat them each day. Some people at work might think I am the "Valentine's Grinch" because I won't let my husband buy me a present for Valentine's day, but that's because I know that he loves me because of the way he treats me like princess everyday! I am not against presents by any means, but the limited budget does play a special role in all of this. I can't wait to spend a romantic evening with my sweet husband, and actually make him a descent meal for once (let's be honest... I never feel like cooking by the time I get home from work)! I hope all of you have a Happy Valentine's Day and are able to spend it with someone you love!!

Good-bye Pontiac!!
Last night was a very happy one for Jesse and I because we sold my old Grand Prix!! The whole 2 door car just wasn't going to work with a baby so we needed to upgrade to something with 4 doors!! So now I am driving a 1998 Nissan Maxima which is a BIG step up for me. It even has a CD player... I feel so spoiled :) Now I am totally relieved because the pontiac is sold. We were so nervous that no one would want it but the first girl who came to look at it bought it on the spot! Now Jesse has a little money to go flying, I have a car with 4 doors, and we are all happy!

Baby Clothes Galore!
Thanks to our good friend Brenda (in Canada), our daughter now has approximately 3 outfits to wear each day throughout the first year of her life. Can we say spoiled? Ok, so I may be exagerating just a bit, but as you can see in the picture, Brenda has sent a TON of clothes that Jesse and I have frantically been trying to wash, sort, and find a place for so that we can get them out of the basement! We are very excited to try them all out though on our little girl. We just may need a bigger house to make room for all of them.
Laura's Growing Belly...
Our Cabin Trip
Jesse and I went to his family's cabin up Weber Canyon two weeks ago with our good friends Karl and Melissa. It was a great trip except for the fact that the snow was up to my waist and the boys decided we should take a "shortcut" and not walk on the road to get up to the cabin. It took a little longer than expected to hike through all of the snow, but we all made it safe and sound and managed to stay somewhat warm that night. I was just happy to finally get to try out my new snow pants and boots that Jesse bought me for Christmas and my birthday. I have since vowed to never attempt to hike in 3 feet of snow when I am 6 1/2 months pregnant!
It's a GIRL!!!
We are so excited about the upcoming arrival of our first baby!! She is due on May 3rd, and we are trying to prepare ourselves for this exciting new adventure of parenthood. She is very active so far, so we are anxious to see if she stays that way once she is born. We are preparing ourselves for a tap dancing acrobat :) And no, we don't have any names picked out yet... so I guess you will just have to wait until she is born and see what we choose!
Our First House
Jesse and I felt very grown up when we purchased our own home a year and a half ago! We can't believe how fast time has gone by since we moved in. It seems like just yesterday we were busy ripping down wallpaper, painting, and tearing out carpet. We sure have put a lot of work into this house (including recently having to purchase a new furnace and air conditioner), but it has definitely been worth it. We love our house, living in American Fork, and especially being so close to all of Jesse's family!
