This weekend

Here are a few pictures from this weekend. We had a great weekend that flew by WAY too quickly as usual!! On Friday, Jesse surprised Brynn and I with tickets to a Grizzlies hockey game. I love when he plans little surprises for us, and Brynn really seems to enjoy going to big sporting events so we had a great time!!

On Saturday we went to some yard sales in the morning (of course), got a few things done around the house, and then went to my nephew Cameron's first birthday party! That was lots of fun, and Brynn loved eating cupcakes and ice-cream cake (as you can see from the picture). She also love emptying the cooler of water all over the floor in the Ventanna clubhouse (sorry again Mer)!

And yesterday we decided that it is time to get Brynn to sleep in the toddler bed again. She was sleeping in it for a couple weeks, and then she started waking up way too many times at night, and then got a really bad cough which made it worse so we put her back in the crib for a little while. But with a baby coming in less than 3 weeks, I would really like to get her out of the crib! She did pretty well last night, only getting out of bed one at 4 am. It took me about 30 min to get her back in bed, and then she slept until 8. And then it took 3 or 4 tries to get her to stay in her bed during nap time today. I am just hoping it is an easy transition and that she is sleeping well by the time her brother arrives!!

My little diva!

Here are a few pictures of Brynn from last weekend. She is getting a lot better at smiling for the camera, but she doesn't sit still for long so I need to get a little better at taking pictures a little faster!!!

Dinosaur Meseum

Brynn and I went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving point for the first time last week and she had a great time!! I think her favorite part was playing on the computer since she is not allowed to play on the big computer at home :) She also loved playing in the sand and water!!! I am sure we will be going back lots because I decided to buy myself a season pass to Thanksgiving point! We went to Farm Country a few times last summer, and to the Children's Gardens and Brynn loved both of those so I figured it would be well worth the $55 for one whole year (especially considering the fact that it costs me $10 each time I go to the museum or gardens). So I know what we will be doing a lot of this summer!!

Quiet Book

This page is magnetic so you can put the armor on and move the peices all around.

All of these pieces have Velcro on them, and are numbered underneath and on the back so you can match them up, and there is also a little pocket to put them in.
This page is also magnetic so you can move the bees all over the place.
This page just has two pockets that you can put the money in.
And this arc is basically a big pocket that zips up that the animal finger puppets fit into.

So a little over a year ago, I had this brilliant idea to make a quiet book for Brynn to keep her entertained during church. Little did I know how much time and effort this "little" project would require!! I don't really know how to sew...so this was a learning experience for me! I would work on it for a while, and get so frustrated that I would literally put it away for a few months until I was ready to work on it again. I really wanted to have it done by Christmas, and that didn't happen, so then the goal became getting it done before baby #2 arrives. Well, tonight I finally finished all of the pages. I am so proud of myself!! Now, I just need to put it all together and I am hoping to do that this weekend. I just hope Brynn likes it, and that it lasts for a while because I will NEVER make one of these again!! It was WAY too much work, but I am definitely glad that I did it :)

My belly and Brynn :)

Here is a picture of my belly at 34 1/2 weeks. I am feeling so big right now!!! I am hoping I don't get too much bigger in the next few weeks. I guess time will tell :)
And here is a picture of Brynn at the park today. I can't believe how big she is getting!!! My little girl is growing up WAY too fast!!!

It's been a while...

Here is Brynn and I at the zoo a few weeks ago. It was snowy and kind of cold, but we still had lots of fun and she LOVED seeing all of the animals!!

Ok, so I know it has been way too long since I have updated the blog, but this past month has been full of sickness at our house and I felt like I had nothing to blog about!! I got a really bad cough, followed by a cold, sinus infection, and finally the stomach flu last Monday. I guess the most excitement we have had lately was spending a few hours in labor and delivery last Monday night! I got so dehydrated that I was having contractions, and had to go into the hospital and get hooked up to an IV so I could get rehydrated. But I am feeling much better now, and am hoping to stay healthy for the remainder of this pregnancy!

I can't believe we only have a few weeks left before this baby comes!! I am scheduled to be induced in 4 1/2 weeks which will be here before you know it (especially since I have a million things to do before he is born)! We are trying to get Brynn ready to have a baby in the house, but I don't think she will really understand all of it until he gets here. She has been sleeping terribly lately, so if I can just get her sleeping all night without waking up by the time he is born, I will be happy :)

We are all loving the warm weather here and are very anxious for spring! It is so nice to just be able to let Brynn run around outside. Well, that is really all that has been going on here, hopefully there will be more excitement soon!! I will also try to get an updated picture of my belly on here soon...it is getting pretty big!

Tiffany's Wishing Mile

Tiffany with Max Hall

Tiffany Searle is a nine year old little girl who lives a few blocks away from us and is in our ward. We just love her to pieces!! Sadly, she has been very sick for a few years now, and none of the doctors can figure out what is wrong with her. At this point, she can't walk, and can hardly move on her own at all. On Saturday one of her wishes came true thanks to the Make a Wish Foundation! She wanted to run in a race, and a big race was held in her honor at BYU. Here are a few pictures :)

For Amy...

Brynn at her first Utah Jazz game. She loved it!!!
Testing out a car we will never be able to afford at the Utah Auto Expo :)

This post is dedicated to my sister-in-law Amy because she has been bugging me to update my blog so she can see pictures of Brynn and my belly. Sorry, no belly shots today though. I don't have anyone here to take pictures of me so that will have to wait. I will just tell you that my belly is bigger than the last pictures posted and you can use your imagination :)

Things have been going well for us. Brynn is continuing to grow and change so much!! She is talking a ton which has been so much fun! We tried making a list of all of the words she knows, but stopped after we were in the mid 200's because we realized she knows way too many to list them all! She can count to 10 by herself, and recited half the alphabet a few days ago which shocked me quite a bit!! We'll just say she learns a lot from watching her Signing Time videos! She loves reading, playing with her dolls, and is obsessed with slides right now! She still continues to use the toilet on a regular basis so I have decided it is time to get rid of the diapers and work on potty training!!! Those words scare me, so if any of you have advice I would love to hear it :) We took her to the store last week and let her pick out some big girl panties (they are Minnie Mouse...she loves Minnie and Mickey). And next week she and I are going to stay home and try to get her potty trained! Wish me luck, I am NOT looking forward to it! But it will be soooo worth the hard work if I can get her out of diapers before the baby comes.

Things with the pregnancy are going well, I am just feeling so much bigger this time around (probably because I am). As of my doctor's appointment last week, I weigh as much as I did the day I had Brynn which is pretty depressing. And my uterus is measuring 2 1/2 cm larger than it should be right now. The doctor said that if this trend continues, he will do an ultrasound to see what is going on (either the baby is big, or I have a lot of extra fluid). The good news is that I have the option to be induced a week early, so I only have 10 1/2 weeks to go!!!! Too bad that sounds like an eternity! I just hope it goes fast since I am already not able to sleep well at night. We are also having trouble in the name department so if you have any suggestions, let me know!!!

Well, that is all for now. I will try to get some more belly pictures on here soon :)

Belly Shots

My brother informed me a couple days ago that I did really well at posting pictures when I was pregnant with Brynn, but haven't posted any of this pregnancy! So here you go, a couple pictures of me at 25 weeks. I think I have been avoiding taking pictures this time around because I am so much bigger than last time. But I promise I will try to be better :)

Christmas 2009

Brynn and Aunt Mer on Christmas Eve
Brynn sound asleep at Grandpa's house on Christmas morning

Brynn with Aunt Adrienne

I think this doll was Brynn's favorite present! She loves pushing her around in the stroller!!
I know Christmas was a week and a half ago, but I had Jesse at home with me for 10 days and am just now getting around to posting pictures!! We had a great Christmas this year! It was so much fun with Brynn since she understood more of what was going on, and actually opened presents! She was a little skeptical about Santa, but started liking him more after she saw the presents he brought her. On Christmas Eve, I told her that Santa was coming to our house, and she ran to the door saying "NO SANTA", and made me lock the door so he couldn't get in!! But then on Christmas night, she was going around saying "Santa house...nice...thank you Santa!" It was pretty cute!

Our Christmas began by celebrating on Christmas Eve with my family. My sister Meredith and her husband and son came over along with My Uncle and cousin for lunch. We had the Klinger family tradition of sloppy joes, red jello with cool whip, chips, and cranberry juice with orange sherbet. Very yummy :) Then we watched the Night Before Christmas movie with Paul Lind that was filmed in the 70's that we used to watch every year at Grandma and Grandpa Klinger's house. We also exchanged presents and did a web cam with the rest of the family in PA and opened presents with them!

That evening, we headed over to Jesse's Aunt Laurel's house for a Christmas Eve get together there. Then we spent the night at his dad's house. Christmas day was pretty crazy, but so fun! First we opened presents at Jesse's dad's house, then headed to Grandma Shelley's for breakfast and more presents. The most special part of the day for me was when she gave us each a present from Grandpa Shelley who passed away on Halloween. Apparently, he was really into signing up for publishers clearing house, and would sometimes buy things from them that he felt might make a good present for someone. He had them all stashed in the bottom of a closet, so Grandma distributed them among all of the children and grandchildren as presents from him. The funny thing was that I got something that I really needed and wanted, and almost bought myself a couple months ago!

After Grandma's house, we headed home to see what Santa had left there! After opening presents, Brynn took a nap while Jesse and I packed up all of the little kid toys and put them into storage. Then we headed back to Aunt Laurel's for Christmas dinner and games. So it was a very busy day, but very memorable as well! Now I am anxious to see what the new year has in store for us (besides a new baby of course)!!
