NO!!!

Brynn has recently discovered her hands and LOVES putting them in her mouth! Sometimes we tell her no and pull her hands out in the hopes that she will not become a finger sucker, and she seems to think it is really funny!

Brynn's new look

I bought these sunglasses in Pennsylvania for Brynn and we decided to try them on her yesterday. I didn't buy them because I thought a baby her age needed to wear them, but they were only 99 cents and I was hoping we could at least get a decent picture. So as you can see, I definitely got my moneys worth! She looked so cute/hilarious!!

Our Trip To Pennsylvania

I realize that I have been a huge slacker and haven't updated our blog in a few weeks so here it goes! July has been a really busy month for us, and it will continue to be busy until it's over. A couple days after Brynn's blessing, our friend Brenda came to visit from Canada. We had lots of fun spending time with her until we left for PA on the 19th. Then we got to spend a whole week visiting my family and friends from back home. This was really fun because it was Brynn's first big trip, and her first time meetin gmy family. After the long flights, we have decided she is a natural flyer just like her dad. She did so well on all 4 flights... no crying, and she was either sleeping or extremely happy. We had a very busy, fun-filled week. We went to Hersheypark (an amusement park in Hershey), Chocolate World, Lancaster (Amish Country), and did lots of shopping and getting together with friends and family. Here are a few pictures.
As you can see, Brynn was a happy camper on the airplane!

This was Brynn's first amusement park ride... the Kissing Tower :)

Our happy family on the chocolate world ride

On Friday night we got together with some of my high school friends who I haven't seen in a few years! Here's Brynn and I with Meredith (and daughter Jordan), Stacy, Courtney, and Sara.
We also got together with Lisa, Holly, and Jennifer (from my ward back home), and all of the children... I think we are outnumbered!

Who would of thought that there would be a town named Intercourse in the middle of Amish Country...

This is Brynn in her little Amish Bonnet that she got in Lancaster. She looks so cute in it, but hates wearing it. She screamed bloody murder when I tried putting it on her for church on Sunday.

And as you can see... our busy week left us all exhausted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This part was definitely the highlight of our trip for me. Elder Oaks was on both of our flights from Harrisburg to Salt Lake. We got to talk to him and his wife, son, and daughter in law for a few minutes in Chicago and even got a picture with him. I can't wait to show this to Brynn when she gets older. And for those of you who are wondering who this man is and why it was so exciting to meet him... he is one of the twelve Apostles for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints so this was huge for us!!!

Brynn's Big Day

Yesterday was a big day for Brynn. It was her blessing day. Jesse did a great job of blessing her at church, and Brynn looked so beautiful all dressed in white. Here are a few pictures.

4th of July Festivities

This is our new favorite picture of Brynn. She has recently discovered her tongue and sticks it out all the time... so cute!!
Our 4th of July started out bright and early by going to the balloon fest down in Provo at 6:00 am. Jesse's dad works for the forest service, and has to help out with the Smokey Bear balloon so it's always fun for the rest of the family to go and help out too. We had a great time as usual. Then that night, we headed to Jesse's dad's house for some more fun. We made foil dinners, watched fireworks from the front lawn (we had a perfect view of the PG fireworks), and then camped out in our tent in the backyard with Janice and Matt (Jesse's sister and her husband), and Adrienne (Jesse's other sister). We had so much fun, and I was so thankful that our tent was big enough to fit all of us and Brynn's pack and play!!
