Something to post about...

I have been so terrible about posting on my blog latley! Mainly because nothing extremely exciting has happened where I feel like I need to post about it immediately. So this will just be a random post with all of the little things that have been going on around here. First on the list... our lawn mower died a couple weeks ago which was both good and bad. Good because I never liked that mower anyways ( I couldn't get it started, so I could never mow the lawn unless Jesse was home), and bad because we had to shell out the money for a new mower. But being "thrifty" (or poor, whatever you want to call it) as we are, we ended up buying a used mower off of KSL. We got such a great deal though! The mower was just purchased last September, and was only used about 10 times. So it seems new to us! And I love it!!!!! I told Jesse that he can't mow the lawn all summer because that is my job! It is so easy to start, and is so powerful, and does so much more than our old mower did. And the best part is that we saved enough money buying it used that we were also able to buy a tiller attachment for our weed wacker which saves a lot of time when weeding the garden!!! These new purchases will make our yard work so much easier! Which brings me to our next thing... we planted out garden in the very beginning of May, so that's all done. It is so much fun to watch all of the little plants come up! We planted; tomatoes, peppers, corn, onions (green and white), broccoli, zucchini, yellow squash, carrots, peas, green beans, lettuce, cucumbers, and cilantro. And then we also have our berry patch with raspberries and strawberries. I can't wait for all the fresh fruit and veggies! And I am going to try to do alot more canning this summer so we'll see how that goes.

And now for a Brynn update! She is getting so big and is growing up so fast! At her last doctors appointment she weighed 19 pounds 6 oz and was 27 1/2 inches long. She still isn't walking yet, but she is a very fast crawler, and climbs and gets into everything! She is still going to the bathroom on the toilet which is AWESOME!! We rarely have to change poopy diapers, and this is really saving us money in that department because we don't go through nearly as many diapers in one day. She is also extremely talkative these days. She does a lot a babbling, and says words like; mama, dada, yes, no, matt, bryce (which is more like byce), and belly. There may be more, that's just all I can think of right now. And she is understanding so many words! She is just so much fun. I have also started watching my nephew Cameron three afternoons a week so Brynn is slowly adjusting to having a baby around the house. She gets really jealous so that can be tricky at times! Well, that's really all that's going on here. I don't want to bore you too much! Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day tomorrow!!

A day full of clothes

As you all know, I love yard sales, and I just wanted to share my good finds for the day! I got tons of cute clothes for Brynn. And the best part is, I got 62 articles of clothing, and two pairs of shoes all for a grand total of $7.15!!! The big bonus was that one of the yard sales I stopped at in the afternoon was giving away clothes for free!! So I feel like today was a huge success!

Our day at temple square

My brother Zach and his wife Amy are in town from Pennsylvania right now, and Brynn and I took them up to Salt Lake today and we toured temple square. We were also able to meet up with my Uncle Bill and cousin Dan there. It was such a beautiful day, and we had a great time! Here are a few pictures.

Happy Birthday Brynn!!

I can't believe my little girl turned 1 yesterday!! I meant to make a birthday post for her yesterday, but never got around to it! So now I am posting some pictures from her big party yesterday! Her day all started out by eating her birthday breakfast. I made her a number 1 pancake and scrambled eggs. Then we pretty much spent the rest of the day getting ready for her party. We had a BBQ with family and a few friends, and the weather was perfect for it! And my brother and sister in law flew out from PA the day before her birthday so we especially enjoyed having them here for the party. So here are some pictures. I think Brynn's favorite part was eating all of the food and her cake. The above cake picture is the one that I made Brynn, and the one below is the free one I got from Albertsons that we let Brynn dive into.

This was Brynn's first time eating watermelon and she loved it!!

We got Brynn the cutest little party hate that said birthday princess, but she hated wearing it so we didn't get any pictures of her wearing it without her screaming.

Me and my siblings :)
Her is Brynn opening presents. And as you can see, her cousin Rhianna decided to help her out.
