Our Trip To Pennsylvania

I realize that I have been a huge slacker and haven't updated our blog in a few weeks so here it goes! July has been a really busy month for us, and it will continue to be busy until it's over. A couple days after Brynn's blessing, our friend Brenda came to visit from Canada. We had lots of fun spending time with her until we left for PA on the 19th. Then we got to spend a whole week visiting my family and friends from back home. This was really fun because it was Brynn's first big trip, and her first time meetin gmy family. After the long flights, we have decided she is a natural flyer just like her dad. She did so well on all 4 flights... no crying, and she was either sleeping or extremely happy. We had a very busy, fun-filled week. We went to Hersheypark (an amusement park in Hershey), Chocolate World, Lancaster (Amish Country), and did lots of shopping and getting together with friends and family. Here are a few pictures.
As you can see, Brynn was a happy camper on the airplane!
Here is Brynn with her grandpa and great grandma Bailey

Brynn and Mommy in matching outfits (this was not planned )

This was Brynn's first amusement park ride... the Kissing Tower :)

Our happy family on the chocolate world ride

On Friday night we got together with some of my high school friends who I haven't seen in a few years! Here's Brynn and I with Meredith (and daughter Jordan), Stacy, Courtney, and Sara.
We also got together with Lisa, Holly, and Jennifer (from my ward back home), and all of the children... I think we are outnumbered!

Who would of thought that there would be a town named Intercourse in the middle of Amish Country...

This is Brynn in her little Amish Bonnet that she got in Lancaster. She looks so cute in it, but hates wearing it. She screamed bloody murder when I tried putting it on her for church on Sunday.

And as you can see... our busy week left us all exhausted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This part was definitely the highlight of our trip for me. Elder Oaks was on both of our flights from Harrisburg to Salt Lake. We got to talk to him and his wife, son, and daughter in law for a few minutes in Chicago and even got a picture with him. I can't wait to show this to Brynn when she gets older. And for those of you who are wondering who this man is and why it was so exciting to meet him... he is one of the twelve Apostles for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints so this was huge for us!!!

Super cute pictures. Isn't it so nice to have good travel babies. I don't know what I would do if the boys were bad travelers. I'm happy you guys had a great time.

How fun! Wow, Elder Oaks! What an amazing experience that must have been to be able to talk to him and his family! I loved that picture of Brynn and her sunglasses :) Too cute!

Brynn is such a good baby! That's great that she made the trip so easy for you. Mom told me about Elder Oaks last night- you sure have better luck on flights then I do!
