9 month check-up
Brynn had her 9 month check-up this week, and since I haven't written in my journal for a long time... I figured I should at least write about it on the blog. She weighs 16 lbs 11 oz, and is 26.5 inches long. So she is a little one, 11 percentile for weight and 13th for height. Jesse is convinced that she is going to be a shorty like her mom (which is probably true)! She hates the doctor right now. She started screaming as soon as he looked at her, and didn't stop crying until he was leaving the room, and then she began to clap which was hilarious! So I think she is starting to remember who he is. He said she is doing very well, and is very impressed with her eating abilities. She is such an independent eater now! She just wants to feed herself (which makes nursing hard, so we'll probably be done with that soon), so we let her. So she is pretty much doing all table food now which is nice, and impressive since she still doesn't have any teeth. It is amazing what that girl can eat and bite with just her gums. We also got her some new sippy cups that she does really well with. Of course they had to have a straw since she loves drinking out of a straw! She is doing so well and growing up to be such a fun girl. She is getting into everything, and is just loving life.

9 months old already??
I can't believe my sweet little Brynn is 9 months old already! Time is going by way to fast... but I am loving every second of being a mom (except for all the screaming fits in the middle of the night). Brynn is so much fun to be around and is so smart already! It makes me nervous that she will out smart me sooner than I thought! She is also very chatty just like her mom, and has started "singing" along with primary songs when I play them for her. I am so thankful to be her mother... how did I get so lucky?
She is getting so close to crawling (started doing it a little last night), although she has been rolling and doing the army crawl for a while now and has no problem getting to where she wants to be. She has also started eating everything and anything that she finds in the carpet! I can't believe all the things the vacuum doesn't pick up. I have even found little pieces of carpet in her mouth a couple times. One of her favorite things is playing darts with her dad (she even says da for dart when they are playing or she wants to play). She says dada, mama, mo (for more), ma (for her uncle Matt), da (for dart), and spits when you ask her if she pooped. She also loves eating "big people food", and drinking out of a straw (the real ones, not the sippy cup or little kid kind). She is just so cute and fun!!
I guess Brynn and I will have to celebrate alone today since Jesse is out skiing with the boys!

My good little eater
Jesse and Brynn are down in Orem right now renting some skiis, and I have decided to spend my "Laura" time updating my blog with a little video from dinner tonight. Brynn loves eating real food, and does very well at eating just about anything despite the fact that she still doesn't have any teeth! So we usually just let her eat whatever we are having for dinner to make things easier. And She would rather feed herself these days which also makes things easier on us... just a little messier :) So here is a little video of her eating some spaghetti tonight. It was pretty entertaining to watch.
