I was feeding Brynn her rice cereal this morning, and she just kept grabbing the cup from me and trying to drink it right out of the cup rather than eating it from the spoon. It's like I just can't feed it to her fast enough! I thought it was pretty funny... here's a little clip. I was actually pretty impressed at how well she could drink it out of the measuring cup.

Big Girl Food
It's official... Brynn has eaten "big girl food" (AKA Rice Cereal). We gave it to her for the first time two nights ago and it was a success. Most of it did end up all over her that first time, but the next morning when I tried I think the majority of it ended up in her mouth. The bib was spottless! I can't believe how quickly she is growing. She laughs and smiles so much, and is just so fun to be around. She is actually sick today (with a cold) which is sad, but that means we get to stay home from work (Brynn and I that is). I am excited to just spend the day with her at home and try to relax a little and enjoy my sweet girl!

TOMATOS TOMATOS TOMATOS
So yesterday I had my first experience canning tomatos from my garden. Dawn, my friend from work, came to help and we are now pros. We went through approximately 12 gallons of tomatoes, and canned about 24 quarts. Needless to say, I don't want to see another tomato for a LONG time! After 7 hours of work, I am thinking it might be more worth it to just buy a case at the Smith's caselot sale next time... but I guess the fresh ones do taste so much better!
